About the Position: The incumbent will serve as Cost Civil Engineer, developing cost engineering products (cost estimates, construction schedules, risk analysis, total project cost summaries for large and complex civil works systems and components used for USACE civil works projects).
Desired experience includes but is not limited to: One year of specialized experience which includes: preparing cost estimates for proposals, designs, modifications, claims, awards, etc. and providing construction contract support for large and complex civil works projects such as recreation areas, navigation projects, or powerhouses.
Your duties will include the following:
Prepare estimates for use in developing conceptual proposals, planning alternatives, preliminary designs, additive bid terms, modifications, claims, negotiations, awards, and terminations.
Provide cost information assistance to Construction in change order negotiations with contractor.
Participate as a member of multi-discipline teams and is responsible for all cost estimates throughout the length a project.
Serve as technical advisor and mentor to lower graded personnel
