Assumes primary responsibility for management coordination on assigned construction projects within the designated Region.
Effectively manages time and procurement constraints associated with construction activities to complete projects as scheduled.
The position will be responsible for notifying leadership of actions or events that will impact defined project timelines.
This is inclusive of bidding, submittals, request for information (RFI's), commitments, change orders, prime contracts, project meetings, required I supporting project documentation and project closeout requirements.
Assists in the development of AlA Contracts that are required for Construction Management Services (CM), General Contractors (GC) and Contractors that meet departmental established thresholds for contractual agreements.
Awareness of contract threshold requirements and the various types of potential AlA contracts is required.
Generates cost estimates at various stages of project development as requested Successfully utilizes the Project Tracking System for proper monitoring of the financial aspects of assigned Construction Projects.
Successfully utilizes CPM project scheduling software to evolve acceptable, realistic time frames and employ suitable project delivery methods to deliver projects in a timely and cost effective fashion.
Responsible for compliance with all defined Facilities Department Policies and Procedures.
Key standardized processes that are included within the Facilities Department Policies and Procedures for adherence.
Records time spent on construction projects within the department's Project Management System for purposes of recording of the proper capitalized labor components associated with construction projects.
Establishes and monitors all regulatory requirements associated with assigned construction projects.
Ensures that all necessary supporting documentation is properly completed, and recorded.
Provides professional construction advice and consultation to departmental Planners and Designers as required.
Provides assistance to client during the move-in phase and for a period of up to a year after occupancy with issues that pertain to the project construction.
Provides clear and organized direction and assignments to the Construction Administrative Assistant(s) that provide work support and assistance on construction projects.
Promotes a'teamwork' approach with the accomplishment of work assignments and tasks.
Provide managerial Oversight on projects as assigned.
Manages staff and provides mentoring and guidance.
Coordinates Construction department activities with Plant Operations supervisory personnel at multiple locations.
