Weather Shield Windows & Doors is currently recruiting for an Architectural Consultant position located in Mid-Atlantic territory.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Drive sales by building Weather Shield brand awareness and preference within the architectural and design communities. • Become the window and door expert that architects and designers can consult with to make product specification decisions. • Provide the necessary tools for these decisions including: product information, CAD details, specification writing assistance. • Develop long-term relationships with architects, specification writers, designers and general contractors. • Work closely with the internal Architectural Services department to develop unique product solutions to help secure new business. • Bring project opportunities to strategic dealers and work with them to bid and secure the sale. • Actively participate and network within local industry professional organizations including CSI, AIA, AIBD, CRAN, and any other approved associations. • Conduct AIA approved continuing education courses.
REQUIREMENTS: • College bachelor or Technical College associate degree in an industry related program (i.e. Architectural Drafting and CAD; Architectural Technology; Construction and Building Management) is strongly preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered. • Minimum of 5 years sales experience, preferably in the window and door industry, or 5 years of architectural experience. • Professional Certification - Accredited CDT, CCPR or established date to take exam, (12 months maximum to achieve certification). • A highly energetic, motivated person with a demonstrated ability to complete complex tasks and manage shifting priorities under tight deadlines. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prepare and deliver a powerful presentation to large and small audiences both internal and external. • Ability to read and understand construction documents. Knowledgeable on Installation methods, local and national building codes. • Above average computer skills and working knowledge of major Microsoft "Office Suite" software programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required. • Travel is required within the designated region.
