The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified Project Manager for the Department of Facilities Management to manage projects from inception through construction completion. This position will report primarily to the Senior Manager of Construction.
The incumbent will be responsible for the oversight and management of assigned capital projects, including new building and renovation projects. For all construction projects, the Project Manager determines user needs, defines the scope of professional services, manages the development of construction drawings and specifications, coordinates field work and contractor activities, develops contracts, prepares budgets and scope of work, sources all necessary resources, and ensures quality and execution of all projects. The Project Manager must maintain a working knowledge of compliance and standards, and make recommendations for enhancements to the project management process.
During the design phase of a project, the Project Manager will be managed by the Senior Manager of Planning & Design.
This is a project based role and the length of your assignment is dependent upon several factors including but not limited to project workload.
